Chilli Jam Doughnuts

These ghoulishly good Chilli Jam Doughnuts are a trick AND a treat!

Method

Place all the ingredients except the oil, Fresh Chilli Jam and sugar for coating in a large bowl, mix and knead for 10 mins. Cut the dough into 8 and shape into balls. Leave to prove on a greased tray until doubled in size. Heat the oil in a pan to a medium heat. Deep fry the doughnuts until golden brown, drain and toss in sugar. When the doughnuts are cool, place the jam in a piping bag. Make a small hole in the side of each doughnut, fill with the jam and serve as a deliciously different treat.

Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 225g Strong white bread flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Golden caster sugar
  • 15g Butter, unsalted and melted
  • 7g Fast action yeast
  • 125ml Warm water
  • 1 Egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Jar Tracklements Fresh Chilli Jam
  • Caster sugar for coating
