Cheese Toastie with Fresh Chilli Jam

Method

Spread the Fresh Chilli Jam onto one of the slices of bread. Layer on the Cheddar cheese. Top with the other slice of bread.

Heat a frying pan on a medium heat. Add the butter until melted but not smoking. Place the sandwich in the pan for 2-3 minutes until it is golden brown underneath. Carefully turn the sandwich over and cook again for 2-3 minutes, adding more butter if needed.

Ingredients

Makes 1 toastie

  • 2 Slices of bread, we recommend Fresh Sourdough
  • 3 Slices of Cheddar
  • A Large knob of Butter
  • A healthy dollop of Fresh Chilli Jam
